 We give thanks for the life of John Portlock, John Haig, Joe Adams, Margaret Eyre, Daniel Stride, Hilary Fleet, and Alan Whitfield; and pray God’s comfort for those who are grieving.

God, our refuge and strength,

bring near the day when wars shall cease

and poverty and pain shall end,

that earth may know the peace of heaven

through Jesus Christ our Lord.
