Harbour Churches Sofa Service & Littles 25th April

Sofa Service : ‘Dragons in solar panels’

Today’s Sofa Service celebrates St George – the saint, his martyrdom, his legend and how he can still inspire us in ‘Christian’ living. The Gospel story from John 10.11-18 speaks of Jesus as the Good Shepherd who will lay down his life for those he loves.

The service opens with the Band of the Coldstream Guards playing Elgar’s ‘Nimrod’ and closes with a version of the great hymn in celebration of England ‘Jerusalem’ performed by Jacob Collier.

Harbour Churches continue to prayer for Charlie Gray, Carrie Goddard, Stella Boyse, Anne Yeomans, baby Elijah and Eloise. We thank God for the life of Jo Coram-Wright.

The shorter Collect for this 4th Sunday of Easter:

Risen Christ,
faithful shepherd of your Father’s sheep:
teach us to hear your voice
and to follow your command,
that all your people may be gathered into one flock,
to the glory of God the Father.
