Emmanuel Tucker, the Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Bo, Sierra Leone also heads up some 55 Anglican Schools including St Paul’s Secondary School which this village and friends founded nearly 10 years ago. He is visiting West Wittering on the 11th – 14th February. The village will welcome him in many ways and we invite you to be a part of that welcome by attending a reception on Friday 12th, 6pm in the Jubilee Room in the Memorial Hall; and the Church Service on the Sunday at 10 a.m. in West Wittering Church when he will preach.
There will be an opportunity to meet informally with the Bishop over a ‘Bring n Share’ lunch at West Wittering Memorial Hall. Whilst Jesus made the loaves and fishes go ‘round we need an idea of whose coming and what you’re bringing. So…. can WestWit folk bring mains/savouries, B’ham folk deserts and Itchenor essential extras. However, you’ll need to bring our own crockery, cutlery and glasses. Soft drinks will be provided so if you feel the need – bring something a little stronger…. Please contact Revd Sarah asap. He will also visit WW School on Thursday 11th. This is a wonderful opportunity to build our link with the people of Bo and their children and to let them know they are in our hearts. Please make the most of it.
