Join us for Worship this Sunday

We continue to offer a Covid secure 8am Holy Communion (BCP) each Sunday St Peter and St Paul, West Witterings and alternate weeks at St James, Birdham and St Nichols. Itchenor. This Sunday at St James, Birdham. Please remember to book for these services.

This Sunday 23rd May @ 10am, we will worship together in person at an outdoor service held at St James, Birdham.  Yes, we know that the weather looks iffy, but we have a ’weather window’ from 10am -11am. It’ll be breezy (Holy Spirit!) and the sound may struggle in the wind, not very warm – so dress warm, bring  something to sit on and a flask of warming beverage may well be needed by 11am.

We’d love it if you could wear something red or orange, and hope that together we really can celebrate the blessing of the Holy Spirit. You do not need to book for this service but tack and trace will be required.

Susan will be leading worship and Jonathan will preach and preside at Holy Communion.

There’s no ‘Sofa Service’ this week but it will be available next week. Morning and night prayer is available for anyone who wishes to join daily or occasionally.

We continue to name in our prayers:

Stella Boyse, Carrie Goddard, Charlie Gray, Anne Yeomans, Eloise and baby Elijah – and we thank God for the life of John Haines and Tony Conyers.

The shorter Collect for this Sunday:
Holy Spirit, sent by the Father,
ignite in us your holy fire;
strengthen your children with the gift of faith,
revive your Church with the breath of love,
and renew the face of the earth,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
