A few years ago the Carols on the Green collection generously supported the vital work of Children on the Edge in the Middle East to the tune of over £600.
Once again they are in desperate need of our support as they work with the people of Beirut following the devastating explosion last week.
Below is a link to their donation website if you feel able to support their work, and the people of Beirut, at this time.
Beirut Explosion Appeal
Message from Children on the Edge
We know that many people are actively looking for ways to help Lebanon after Tuesday’s explosion, and looking for organisations that can ensure that donations are effectively and swiftly put to use. As the true scale of the impact emerges, there are at least 137 dead, 5,000 people injured and around 300,000 people who are now homeless.
We really value how many of you at Harbour Churches have supported Lebanon in recent years, especially in the education work we have established with our partners Triumphant Mercy.
Right now Nuna Mater, and the team at Triumphant Mercy are on the ground, distributing food and water to volunteer workers, providing medical support and helping with clearing rubble and debris
Major hospitals and vital food grain stores have been wiped out.. We are appealing for donations to help continue to deliver emergency relief to those affected.
